India's backbone and support : NDA
National defence Academy (NDA) is an service academy of government pf India which create an opportunity for Indian youth to contribute there patriotism towards the nation. National Defence Academy ( NDA ) contains three services navy, army and air force.
Roles of National Defence Academy ( NDA ) :-
1.) PRIMARY :- Preserve national interest and remove all the hindrances or threats created by outside world. And also maintain unity of action.
2.) SECONDARY :- Guide or assist the government regarding threats from outside world to resolve it.
Since, to be a part of these 3 services , it is mandatory to pass out the NDA exam which is conducted twice a year.
NDA exam is conducted by UPSC
To qualify the NDA exam, there are some eligibility criteria for the candidates as follows :
- Should be unmarried
- Should be 12th pass out
- It is mandatory to have physics and mathematics as the majn subjects in 12th class.
- There is an age limit between 16.5 to 19 years old.
- The minimum height of the candidate should be more than or equal to 157 cms
NDA exam is. Considered to be the most toughest exam among all to clear.
Facts about NDA :-
NDA is the one such academy in the world which trained all the 3 services together called navy, army and airforce.
NDA was an experiment to test the candidates that they all ( including all three services) can be union after giving specific training.
The first Indian fly into space, belongs to National Defence Academy called Rakesh Sharma
Since, national Defence Academy is the best medium to acquired the services of navy, army and airforce.
